A Modern Bathroom Makeover in Argyle, TX
Argyle, Texas is known for wide skies, Friday night lights, and just enough country charm to keep things grounded. Tucked between Denton and Fort Worth—where summer heat means business and mudroom boots are a lifestyle—one bathroom decided it was time for a glow-up worthy of the neighborhood.
This project was a tag-team effort between Affordable 1 Day Bath and Gizmo Glass LLC, and the mission was clear: take a dated bathroom with a tired tub and turn it into a modern, functional, Texas-tough retreat. Preferably one that didn’t feel like it was designed during a previous Cowboys dynasty.
The Challenge
The original bathroom had a classic problem:
- A bathtub that wasn’t getting much love
- A shower that didn’t exist where it should
- Storage that was more “wishful thinking” than functional
In a town where dust blows in from the open fields and summer temperatures test your patience (and your AC), this bathroom needed better flow, smarter use of space, and a look that felt intentional—not accidental.
The Solution
Affordable 1 Day Bath stepped in and shook things up—literally.
- The existing shower? Demoed.
- A new closet was added in its place, giving the homeowners much-needed storage (because in Argyle, you always need a place for boots, towels, or both).
- The tub area was reimagined entirely, becoming a sleek, modern shower.
- New flooring tied the space together, and a fresh vanity sealed the deal—equal parts function and style.
Then came the showstopper.
Gizmo Glass LLC supplied and installed a barn-door style double bypass sliding glass enclosure with a return, finished in matte black. The result? A shower enclosure so modern it could make a downtown Fort Worth loft feel underdressed.
The barn-door design nods subtly to Argyle’s rural roots, while the matte black finish brings the whole space firmly into the present day. It’s where farmhouse charm meets contemporary cool—and they get along just fine.
The Outcome
The transformation is dramatic (thank goodness for the before & after photos).
What was once a cluttered, underutilized bathroom is now:
- A sleek, modern shower with clean lines and bold contrast
- Improved storage thanks to smart layout changes
- A cohesive design that feels intentional, upscale, and easy to maintain
Most importantly, the space now works with the homeowners’ lifestyle—not against it. Whether it’s rinsing off after a dusty North Texas afternoon or starting the day before the sun fully burns off the morning haze, this bathroom is ready.
