When Michelle first thought about upgrading her shower, she wasn’t dreaming of a months-long renovation saga. She wanted a clean, modern space that made her feel good every morning—and didn’t involve endless scrubbing or worrying about leaks.
Her wish list was short but powerful: low-maintenance, stylish, durable, and spa-like. In Denton, TX, where summer heat can hit triple digits and the humidity sometimes makes even the toughest grout give up, those weren’t just wants—they were needs.
Enter Affordable 1 Day Bath in Corinth and Gizmo Glass. Two teams, one vision, and one bathroom ready for a glow-up.
Step One: Out With the Old
Michelle’s original shower had character, but not the good kind. Cracked grout, stubborn stains, and a door that never seemed to seal quite right.
She laughed when she told us:
“Every time I walked in there, it felt like my shower was sighing back at me. I wanted a fresh start.”
That “fresh start” began with Affordable 1 Day Bath, who swooped in to handle the demo and install a sparkling new acrylic shower system. Acrylic was the perfect choice—modern, durable, and resistant to the climate rollercoaster Denton is famous for.
Step Two: Glass That Sparkles
With the acrylic system in place, it was Gizmo Glass’s turn. Our job? To frame the new shower with a sleek, custom glass enclosure that would transform it from “functional” to “wow.”
Think of it this way: Affordable 1 Day Bath built the stage, and Gizmo Glass added the spotlight. Together, the result was more than a remodel; it was a showpiece.
Why Acrylic + Glass Works for Denton Homes
Denton homeowners face a special challenge: the weather. One week it’s blazing heat, the next it’s thunderstorms. Humidity can creep into every corner of a bathroom.
That’s why this combo works so well:
- Acrylic is nearly indestructible, resists mold, and keeps its shine without hours of scrubbing.
- Glass adds openness and elegance, turning a basic bathroom into a retreat.
Together, they give durability and design in one package—a perfect fit for Texas living.
Smooth as a Relay Race
Michelle’s favorite part? How seamlessly the teams worked together.
“It was like watching a relay race, but instead of passing a baton, they were passing me a brand-new shower.”
Affordable 1 Day Bath wrapped up their work, we stepped in for the glass installation, and within days Michelle’s tired bathroom had a brand-new heartbeat. No delays, no headaches—just a clean handoff and a stunning finish.
A Denton Kind of Bathroom
Denton is a mix of small-town charm and college-town energy. There’s music on the Square, Friday night lights at local stadiums, and that unmistakable Texas vibe.
Michelle’s bathroom needed to reflect that: relaxed, practical, but stylish enough to hold its own. With acrylic walls and frameless glass, it struck the right balance—low-maintenance comfort with a touch of luxury.
The Reveal
When the last piece of glass was installed, Michelle’s reaction said it all:
“I walked in and thought, this can’t be my bathroom. It looked like one of those model homes. I just couldn’t believe it.”
Gone was the tired, sighing shower. In its place stood a bright, elegant space that made her mornings feel better instantly.

Michelle’s Advice to Other Homeowners
We’ll let her words wrap it up:
“If you’re on the fence about remodeling, just do it. Trust the process, find the right team, and don’t wait as long as I did. Every day I step into my new shower, I wish I’d made the call sooner.”
