When Lisa in Pilot Point, Texas reached out to us at Gizmo Glass, she was in the middle of remodeling her home in preparation for an extended family visit. As both homeowner and remodeler, Lisa had taken on the ambitious task of redesigning and renovating all four of her bathrooms—each of which hadn’t seen an update in nearly 20 years. With guests arriving in less than two weeks, she had one clear goal: complete all four bathrooms in time, including updated, modern shower enclosures.
Located just outside the town center, Lisa’s ranch-style home reflects the rural elegance typical of Pilot Point—a charming, close-knit town north of the Denton and DFW metroplex, known for its rolling pastures, horse ranches, and relaxed lifestyle. While much of Lisa’s home had been updated, the bathrooms still had chipped tiles, worn fixtures, and outdated, foggy shower enclosures that didn’t match the rest of the house.
Lisa handled the design and remodeling work herself, breathing new life into each space with updated finishes, fixtures, and layouts. That’s where we came in—to measure, fabricate, and install the custom glass shower enclosures that would complete the look.
We began by visiting Lisa’s home to take precise measurements of all four shower areas. Each bathroom had its own layout: one tub-to-shower conversion in the guest bath, two standard walk-in showers in the secondary bedrooms, and a larger, custom-designed enclosure in the master bath. With Lisa’s deadline fast approaching and all four installations needing to be done in a single day, we knew that planning and precision were critical.
Within 48 hours of our initial visit, we finalized the enclosure designs, sourced the materials, and sent the specs to our fabrication team. By day six, the custom-cut glass panels were ready. Although Pilot Point may feel remote, our team is well-versed in delivering high-quality work efficiently, even in small towns with tight timelines.
On day ten, we returned with all four shower systems and our full installation crew. The goal: install every enclosure in a single day. We split into two teams—one handling the master and guest bathrooms, and the other working on the secondary bedrooms.
Thanks to Lisa’s detailed remodel prep and her well-organized workspaces, the installations went smoothly. The master bath’s oversized enclosure, which required extra support due to its height and open layout, was the most technically demanding—but it was completed on time along with the others.
By late afternoon, all four custom shower enclosures were installed, sealed, and cleaned. Lisa joined us for a final walkthrough, clearly satisfied with the finished product—and relieved to have everything complete ahead of her family’s arrival.
For Lisa, what started as a high-pressure renovation wrapped up with a successful, well-executed finish. And for us at Gizmo Glass, it was a pleasure supporting a homeowner who brought both vision and hands-on skill to her own remodel. With smart design, tight coordination, and a trusted team, even ambitious timelines can be met—right here in the heart of North Texas.
